Picacho Mountain you enjoy a year-round calendar of events. These events give residents the chance to build friendships and experience all that Picacho Mountain, Las Cruces and Southern New Mexico have to offer!

Here are just a few of the community events:
Geology Hike (Spring & Fall):
This event is a resident favorite. Picacho Mountain residents are joined by local geology and hiking experts on a hike through history in the hills and canyons of Picacho Mountain and the directly adjacent Picacho Peak Recreation Area. Come discover the history of the area, find out how geological features were formed, learn the names of rocks and features, enjoy the amazing Las Cruces climate, and be inspired by the beauty of the Chihuahuan Desert.
Arbor Day (Fall):
As part of our community commitment to preserving nature, Picacho Mountain is proud to sponsor an annual resident Arbor Day. The first annual Picacho Mountain Arbor Day is scheduled for Friday, March 13th,2009. Arbor Day is a nationally celebrated event where residents come together to plant trees in their communities.
LCHBA Spring Showcase of Homes & Picacho Mountain Green Exhibits (Spring):
Picacho Mountain is a featured community each spring in the Las Cruces Home Builders Association Showcase of Homes. This city-wide event highlights the best new homes built by Las Cruces’ top home builders. During the event, Picacho Mountain hosts Green Build Exhibits featuring the latest green technologies and vendors. Come be part of this event. Visit Picacho Mountain’s exquisite custom homes, learn more about green building, and see all that Las Cruces has to offer. Mark your calendar and be part of this event every year during the last weekend of April and the first weekend of May.
Fourth of July Celebration (July):
Each year Picacho Mountain residents gather to make memories and celebrate this American holiday. Because of Picacho Mountain’s elevated view, the community is the best place in Las Cruces to revel in 4th of July fireworks. Our residents enjoy the City of Las Cruces' fireworks show as well as dozens of other smaller fireworks displays from around the region.
Picacho Mountain Resident Holiday Party (December):
Picacho Mountain residents gather together each December to celebrate the holiday season. Join in the fun and enjoy food, activities, and make memories with your new friends and neighbors. This annual event is a resident favorite.
Special Events & Resident Mixers (Throughout the Year):
Picacho Mountain residents enjoy numerous get-togethers year-round. Astronomy cookouts, wine and cheese parties, cooking demonstrations, hiking and outdoor events, and community service activities are just a few of the events you can be part of at Picacho Mountain. Plus, Picacho Hills Country Club also has a full calendar of events for members.
